Fanime 2013 and Beyond

As you may have read in one of our previous posts, we were at Fanime 2013, cosplaying as characters (and units in the case of Dragon∞Blade) from good, old "Cardfight!! Vanguard" as shown below:

Anyway, we've been back for quite a while, and we're back in our daily routine of school, so content on this  website and our Facebook and Twitter will be quite scarce until the later half of this month at the earliest. In the meantime, we will show you those pictures Dragon∞Blade promised you folks: [Click here!!!]

As for the convention and Cardfighting, Dragon∞Blade was able to enter 2 tournaments during the weekend and placed in the Top 4 at Sunday's tournament with her Palamedes Alfred Toolbox Beatdown deck alongside 2 players using decks focusing on Dragonic Overlord the End and 1 who focused on Spectral Duke Dragon on Sunday's tournament. I was able to enter only on Sunday and went with a Sarah variant (which I would probably do a deck profile on after I get some more cards for testing purposes and work out some more kinks) for a 3-2 record (I could have gone 4-1, but I decided to be nice and allow my 5th round opponent a sliver of hope with a shield amount needing 2 triggers to break through. Of course, he got the triggers he needed. Besides, being a reporter for Mission Start Podcast, I felt obligated to cover the Cosplay Spectacular that night, and I had a feeling it was going to start seating people soon.). I believe our Dr. O felt he needed to take a break from Cardfighting and had fun with Bushiroad's other flagship game, Weiss Schwarz, instead (I'll have Barrel correct this if I'm wrong.).

With that out of the way, we got some plans for our Youtube channel. After getting several requests for it, we will be making an entertaining tutorial video as a means to attract new folks! With the mechanics of Limit Break, Crossrides, and soon Ultimate Breaks and Break Rides becoming more and more rampant, we will make a sequel to our "S*** Cardfight!! Vanguard Players Say" video to showcase those feelings that people get when they face against such monstrosities along with trying to improve the humor aspect! Whether or not our Casual Cardfighting series will continue is up in the air right now, but if we continued to do them, how do you think we should improve upon them?

As for more recent events, if all goes well with our 3rd member, my team, a division of D.S.P., will be heading off to Seth's Games and Comics in Ventura, CA for the Team League Regional Qualifier! Whether or not that goes through, I'll also be heading to Anime Expo, sporting my Sendou Aichi cosplay on Day 1 (Thursday) of the convention and MAYBE play at one tournament (Anime Expo is one of those conventions where you really have to get to events at least an hour beforehand to be guaranteed admission.).

To close things off, I am glad to announce that after much persuasion and deliberation during our time at Fanime 2013, Dragon∞Blade, a teammate from D.S.P., and myself will be cosplaying as the following Gold Paladin units for Fanime 2014!
